Unit 8: Exercise – Manage Smart Lockout Values

To customize smart lockout (requires Entra ID Premium P1+):

• Sign in to Microsoft Entra admin center as Global Administrator.
• Go to Protection > Authentication methods.
• Select Password protection.
• Set Lockout duration in seconds, for example 120.
• Set Mode to Enforced.
• Save changes.

User message when lockout is triggered:

Your account is temporarily locked to prevent unauthorized use. Try again later, and if you still have trouble, contact your admin.
